Having a side hustle is more common than you might think, and there are all kinds. Some folks simply do odd jobs in their spare time to make a few extra bucks, or have a consulting business on the side providing services like graphic design or something skill-based about which they are passionate, love doing, and don’t get to do during the day, which also earns them some extra dough.

Side gigs are great! But most are about trading your time for money. There’s an entirely different kind of side gig which is about getting paid for doing something once. These gigs are generating residual income for those that undertake them. And with enough focus, the income can be substantial, over time, all for starting something once.
